Project Urban Habitat is responding to the rapid acceleration of global urbanization, which is decreasing the space for nature, by creating new habitat in the city. The project increases awareness of biodiversity among passengers with interactive projections of three endangered animals ‘living’ in busy parts of the city centre.
This way the animals are symbolically brought into the city, but interested passengers can create the real possibility for the animals to live in the city. From the projection they are directed to the projects’ website where they can find the ideal habitat requirements for these animals and how they can implement this in parts of their own city-garden or house. Therefore new habitat emerges for endangered animals and they can move to the city.
